Iceland’s producer prices increased by 7.2% year-on-year in November 2024, accelerating from a four-month low of 4.8% in the previous month. It was the highest reading in producer prices since February 2023, driven by price increases across all sub-indices, particularly in the metal industry (15.1% vs. 9.8% in October). Moreover, producer inflation increased for exported products excluding marine products (11.5% vs 7%), exported products (9.3% vs 5.8%), other manufacturing industries (2% vs 0.4%), marine products (5.2% vs 3.7%), food production (3.9% vs 3.4%), and products sold domestically (2.5% vs 2.3%). On a monthly basis, producer prices advanced by 2.8%, following a 1.3% rise from the preceding period.
