The BSE Sensex rose about 1.5% to close at 74,227.1 on Tuesday, reversing the losses from the past three sessions in line with global market recovery. Gains were propelled by bargain buying following Monday's collapse and hopes for U.S. tariff negotiations that might ease global trade tensions. Many countries are negotiating with the US administration after President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs against them on April 2. Domestically, traders focused on the RBI’s policy meeting on Wednesday, where a 25 bps rate cut is widely anticipated. All companies, except Power Grid, ended in the positive territory. Titan, Bajaj Finance, State Bank of India, Larsen & Toubro, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints and Zomato were the biggest gainers. Titan led the way with a 3.3% rise, after posting a 25% jump in standalone Q4 revenue, driven by higher gold prices.
