Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Remember me to one who lives there For once she was a true love of mine Have her make me a cambric shirt Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Without no seam nor fine needle work And then she"ll be a true love of mine Tell her to weave it in a sycamore wood lane Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme And gather it all with a basket of flowers And then she"ll be a true love of mine Have her wash it in yonder dry well Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme where water ne"er sprung nor drop of rain fell And then she"ll be a true love of mine Have her find me an acre of land Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Between the sea foam and over the sand And then she"ll be a true love of mine Plow the land with the horn of a lamb Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Then sow some seeds from north of the dam And then she"ll be a true love of mine Tell her to reap it with a sickle of leather Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme And gather it all in a bunch of heather And then she"ll be a true love of mine If she tells me she can"t, I"ll reply Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Let me know that at least she will try And then she"ll be a true love of mine Love imposes impossible tasks Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Though not more than any heart asks And I must know she"s a true love of mine Dear, when thou has finished thy task Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Come to me, my hand for to ask For thou then art a true love of mine 歌曲的主人是一个被情人抛弃的男人。 或许就像常说的那样,every heart grows merry in time. 1966年底,Paul Simon在英国时将它改编成反战色彩浓厚的歌曲,并收入他的专辑Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme之中,后用作电影The Graduate的中插曲(其中的The Sound of Silence是另一首广为流传的歌)。 Are you going to Scarborough Fair 蕙兰芫荽,郁郁香芷 Parsley sage rosemary and thyme 彼方淑女,凭君寄辞 Remember me to one who lives there 伊人曾在,与我相知 She once was a true love of mine Tell her to make me a cambric shirt 蕙兰芫荽,郁郁香芷 Parsley sage rosemary and thyme 勿用针剪,无隙无疵 Without no seams nor needle work 伊人何在,慰我相思 Then she will be a true love of mine On the side of hill in the deep forest green Tracing of sparrow on snow crested brown Blankets and bed clothes the child of maintain Sleeps unaware of the clarion call Tell her to find me an acre of land 蕙兰芫荽,郁郁香芷 Parsley sage rosemary and thyme 良田所修,大海之坻 Between the salt water and the sea strand Then she will be a true love of mine On the side of hill a sprinkling of leaves Washes the grave with slivery tears A soldier cleans and polishes a gun Sleeps unaware of the clarion call Tell her to reap it with a sickle of leather 蕙兰芫荽,郁郁香芷 Parsley sage rosemary and thyme 敛之集之,勿弃勿失 And gather it all in a bunch of heather Then she will be a ture love of mine 伴唱: 烽火印啸,浴血之师 War bellows blazing in scarlet battalions 将帅有令,勤王之事 Generals order their soldiers to kill and to fight for a cause They have long ago forgotten Sleeps unaware of the clarion call Scarborough Fair Are you going to Scarborough Fair Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Remember me to one who lives there She once was a true love of mine Tell her to make me a cambric shirt Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Without any seams or fine needlework Then she'll be a true love of mine Ask her to wash it in a dry well Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Where never spring water nor rain ever fell Then she'll be a true love of mine Ask her to dry it on a flowering thorn Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme That never knew blossom since Adam was born Then she'll be a true love of mine Now, he has asked me questions three Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme I hope he will answer as many for me Then he'll be a true love of mine Tell him to find me an acre of land Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Between the salt water and the sea strand. Then he'll be a true love of mine Tell him to plow it all with a lamb's horn Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme And sow it all over with one peppercorn Then he'll be a true love of mine Tell him to reap it with a sickle of leather Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme And bind it all up with a peacock's feather Then he'll be a true love of mine And when he's finished with all of his work Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Then send to me for that cambric shirt. Then he'll be a true love of mine Are you going to Scarborough Fair Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Remember me to one who lives there For she once was a true love of mine。 [mp3]http://www.5i57.com/forum/music/bysnvb.mp3[/mp3]
