The major player this morning will be the release of German IFO numbers. Prudence insures that Andy doesn't enter a trade prior to the numbers, even as the Cable Grid is looking offered. When the IFO numbers come out very bad for the EURO, Admin tried to enter short the EUR/USD as per the plan, but failed to get a price, so entered short the Cable, again as per the plan. In a easy trade, never more than the spread down , Admin exits just 20 minutes later for +19 pips. The chat is then filled with attendees own personal pip gains. A solid start to the week. Gain of 19 pips New York Session: Between sessions, Dr Trader goes long EUR/JPY twice, for +10 and for +13 pips. Andy opens the New York Session on a Monday morning with no major news releases. Kean on shorting either the EUR/USD or GBP/USD at the start.. but not being able to chose between the two, he leaves it up to Admin to select which pair to short. Admin selects the Cable, and Sod's law kicks in and it's the Euro that moves. In a near perfect EURO move, many attendees made 20+ pips as Admin's Cable moves +10 in profit. The market then dies a death, as neither Euro nor Cable falls any further; Andy requests Admin to get out of the trade, as it moves above the long holding supports. In all a dull session , expect for those attendees who elected to trade the EUR/USD or both Cable and the Euro. Meanwhile, DR Trader is having more luck, trading EUR/JPY 3 times , short for +15, and long for +0 and +12 Total for the 2 Session today 58 pips Today's Video Recording of LIVE Sessions: London: New York: NEWS TRADING (Henry Liu) Yesterday we saw the EUR/USD retracement from Friday's gains. As we look forward to the Rate Statement from FOMC on Wednesday, I do not think EUR/USD will gain much today; but then again nothing is absolute in the Forex Market, anything could change on a shift in sentiment, therefore be careful and always use sound money and risk management. As I pointed out yesterday, my plan is to SELL EUR/USD in expectation of a hawkish statement from the FOMC on Wednesday. Therefore I will be looking at EUR/USD today and look for an entry, preferrably above 1.5600, or at least close to it. Webinar Invitation.
